flow based yoga
To flow is where the breath and body meet, and all the spaces in between! The practice of breath synchronised with movement is the essence of all my flow-based classes.
As well as a deep, kind and loving acknowledgement of the body and it's natural alignment, we will learn to listen and cultivate the breath. We merge the breath to the movement so that the flows we create are expansive, smooth and full of integrity.
Think of it as a meditative movement. Working one-to-one, or in small private groups, are incredibly powerful ways to cultivate your relationship with all parts of yourself. The dark, the light and of course, the glow inside too!
We balance the flow with a deep relaxation at the end. I use essential oils and music to enhance your sensory experience.
yin and restorative yoga
Many of us find it very difficult to relax and this is often because we have forgotten how. Also, the wonders of modern technology have brought with them a constant state of being switched 'on', so that sitting still and being present with ourselves can be incredibly challenging.
Yin and the more restorative practises switch us back into human-being mode. They calm the mind, breath and the nervous system to bring us back into a state of rest.
Yin Yoga is a slower practice that asks us to hold poses for longer, this is to create opening in the body on a deeper level as it works into the connective tissues and joints.
pre and post natal yoga
are specialist sessions dedicated to supporting your pregnancy and if it’s your first baby, your transition into motherhood – from one mother to another!
Individually tailored classes combine breath work, pelvic-floor exercises, yoga and meditation to safely build strength and balance the nervous system. This is a moment to relax and take precious time out for yourself.
